I would never have imagined editing this collection but thanks to Akashic Books
publisher, Johnny Temple, I did, and I’m glad. It’s a funny, serious, topical mix of
stories and essays all about pot, from recreational to medicinal to dangerous, by a
diverse group of writers (and graphic artist, Dean Haspiel, who penned an original
comic for the anthology), all of whom did excellent work. I learned a lot about pot
while I did this (no joke) and I hope my Introduction shows it. Clearly, this is a book
whose time has come.
