The Killing Art
The 3rd Kate McKinnon book, this one based on a true story—and the first one I illustrated with “clue paintings.” People tell me they love dissecting the clues along with Kate and I love hearing that. All the characters in this book are based on real people, some of whom I knew, most of them now deceased, all identified in an extensive The New York Times article that details the true story that inspired my novel. This book is about friendship and betrayal, success and failure, and revenge in the form of murder – which is the fictional part. Newsday said, “Santlofer weaves bits of history and present-day life (in this) murderous tale.”
