Modeled after an MFA writing program, Crime Fiction Academy is the only program totally devoted to crime fiction in all its glorious forms. Our goal is to get unpublished writers published. Here’s what CFA offers:

• Writing workshops where students learn to edit and polish their work for agents and editors led by noted crime fiction writers like SJ Rozan and Thomas Cook, both award-winning authors.
• Reading seminars led by authors like Megan Abbott and Duane Swierczynski that concentrate on writers such as Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett to give students a solid background in the classics.
• A monthly Master Class with writers like Elmore Leonard, Lee Child, Dennis Lehane, Charlaine Harris, Mary Higgins Clark and many more. CFA students get up close and personal with the best crime fiction writers of our time and learn from them.
• Events with literary agents, editors and other professionals in the crime fiction world.

Our students come from all over the country and from diverse fields. We’ve had doctors, lawyers, ex-CIA workers, policemen, homemakers, just about anyone who has the desire and ability to write a crime novel.  It’s one of the most exciting programs I have ever been involved with and it just keeps getting better.
